I have a cooker like this White enamel with solid electric hot plates. Now the actual top is fine but around the rings is brown stains or more accurately must be burnt on grease. I have tried washing up liquid, vinegar and soda crystals, It looks cleaner but there are still marks plus my arm aches from scrubbing!
Any product suggestions to get the rest off?!

I feel like I'm turning into marketing for astonish but the Astonish paste in the blue tub is my saviour of crusty pans, ovens and all manner of other stuff (brings up sinks and upvc windows a treat too). I got my tub in the pound shop for 99p. They sell it in Wilkos and lots of supermarkets too. The guy who came to clean our oven professionally used this and an e cloth. So that's what I do, except I find a scourer much better for really bad marks / stains. I only have to do this occasionally. I use a damp e cloth and all purpose cleaner or hot soapy water on a daily basis.

Must watch this thread as I have the same problem around my solid hotplates. When I was ill they didn't get cleaned properly and everything is burnt on Sad

Would the bleach + bicarb trick from another thread work I wonder? I may try that out this weekend although I'll probably just eat cake instead Blush

Astonish helped a bit but didn't remove the worst of it and it still looks awful.

I will try the astonish.

What is the bleach and bicarb trick?!

Thanks
