Ovens - what combination?

We are planning a new kitchen at the moment and I am getting very confused about ovens!

Originally, I wanted a built in double oven which is what I have at the moment. However, the kitchen planner has suggested stacking a single oven and a compact oven to get the same effect. He has been trying to talk me into the benefits of having a steam oven but I'm really not sure it's worth it.

Does anyone have a steam oven - what do you use it for and is it worth it?

The main advantage I can see for moving to a single main oven is that I can then have a self-cleaning oven [lazy] which I can't have if I have a double oven. But I do want to be able to grill and use a conventional oven at the same time - do compact ovens generally include a grill?

Any ideas of what would be a good combination?
Thanks

I went for 2 full size single ovens in a tower - best thing ever. There's still enough room for small cupboards above and below.

I've got a single oven, steam combination oven (steam + grill) and a deep warming drawer.

At the moment I cannot say we are using the, more expensive, steam combination to full effect. The most successful thing we have done is cook 2 chickens in it to perfection in just over 1 hour (large family dinner). We are going on a course though soon! I think this is down to habit - it will take a real effort to change the way you cook. We are still hoping that the combi will prove to be worth it...
