The Bissell ones get a good write up. I have an old model and use it all the time. Leaves the carpet only slightly damp, so drying time is short.

Is this thread doing the second hand shop trick where you ring up after a particular item they don't have then taking one in to sell a couple of days later?

Hi Judemumof2. I live in Fulham and use Blue Apple Cleaning www.blueapplecleaning.com. I know they also do Wandsworth. They are really good and friendly and last time I used them they cleaned my windows too!

Have a Vax now. Had a Bissel for about 10 years until it died.
Prefer the Vax as it's much easier to clean all the bits. The Bissel had lots of crannies which got v gunked up over the years from sucking up all the dirt.
I would say they both did / do an equally good job.
Vax floor cleaner shampoo not available on our high street, so have to get it through Amazon / wait a day or so if I run out and haven't planned ahead.
