How I can I get paint out of the Carpet?

Thanks to my shabby attempt at decorating, we now have (quite a few) paint spots and one large unsightly mark.
Does anyone know any tricks?

Gloss or emulsion?

When did you drip it?

I wish I knew! Not even a professional carpet cleaner was able to shift the drops of matt emulsion from my stairs and vestibule. To be fair, I got the carpet cleaner in a year after I'd painted.

meths will soften emulsion paint so you can comb or brush it out. If you mix it with WUL it evaporates slower, but you will need a carpet shampooer to suck away the WUL.

White spirit will do it (I'm clumsy with a roller...)

Normal gloss or water based?

Gloss is hard as nails man.

Try a magic eraser, worked on spilt nail polish which is similar to gloss.

I had the same problem this week and in desperation sprayed mr muscle kitchen spray. It came off easily.it also worked on everything else that was hit by the teenagers attempt at painting. Shame I had spent six hours with a Stanley knife blade carefully scraping it first.

I've found gloss comes out easily with white spirit.

Very fine sandpaper, fairly gentle rub is all it takes.
