Bleach incident with DH's shirt

Help! DH's White shirt had some stains that I really couldn't shift so I carefully dabbed some bleach onto them. Only I wasn't as careful as I thought and I've got some bleach onto the blue trim of the shirt, meaning he has a small purple patch. Is there anything I can do to repair this? Is there any way I can touch up a small patch? Permanent marker looks appealing at the minute!

No.

Sorry - but it's very unlikely anything will work. Permanent marker will wash to a different colour, I'm afraid. (Also, when it's rewashed, it may go orange, eek).

The only thing you can do is to sew something over it, but I can't imagine that really working on a shirt.

Sorry.

Is it possible to either remove all or part of the blue trim or replace it with something similar?
