Where can I get some nice, non splintery wooden hangers from? My new wardrobe is coming on Saturday and I want to get rid of all the manky old plastic hangers.

Ikea

Ikea, they do them in packs off 6 I think and were reasonably priced but it was a few years back when I bought mine.

Oh and they also do the clip ones in a wood frame for skirts too.

Or Matalan

IKEA I'd def v inexpensive for wooden hangers and the skirt clip ones are vg too ( think they're called something amusingly like bummerang).

I hang almost all my clothes - even t shirts and I use those thin velvet hangers that you can buy in tk maxx for all my tops and dresses. They take up v little space and the velvet texture means that clothes don't slip off the hanger.Still use wooden ones for the heavier jackets though.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. We're not that close to an ikea but we do have a huge Matalan quite close. Do Ikea do home delivery now?

Wilkos do them too. I have lots of them, but I find them very bulky. They take up far more hanging space than a plastic one. Look nicer though.
