Blu-tack stains in carpet, can anyone help?!!

Have ground-in blu-tack in the carpet, it has been there ages and gone dark and shiny, I've only worked out what it is! Have tried scraping it off with a flat knife but I can't get all of it out! Help!

Try using baby wipes - or failing that lighter fluid shifts most things.

Try the babywipes first. If they don't work you can use one of the wipes to rub in the lighter fluid. Sprinkle it on and then rub quite hard. Then maybe some kitchen roll to dab at it - don't use loo roll or you'll have little white specks ingrained in the carpet. And if you end up using the lighter fluid make sure you keep the windows open and dispose of the wipes carefully - I think it would be ok to flush them but don't leave them in a bin indoors as they will still be giving off fumes
