Apple green sofa, what colour walls?

We have been given a sofa as ours was a bit past it but now we have to paint the walls as teracotta does'nt go with green, the sofas are bright apple green, i dont want green walls as that will be just too much green, so what colour?

i would definitely have creamn walls - boring but safe. You could introduce some warm yellow/oranges through cushions, artwork etc.

How about a pale creamy yellow - we have a colour in our family room called 'california sand' from the dulux mixed to order system. Each colour has about six shades from really pale to really deep, I think ours is level 2.

White would give a really good contrast, or if that is too stark, you could go for cream. The dulux website has a fun thing on it where you paint a virtual room choosing the colours - playing with that might bring some inspiration, and give you an idea of what works.

At least a with a green sofa, you should be able to find a really nice colour scheme - we were given a mustard yellow one which is really comfortable, but which goes with absolutely nothing!

I've seen pale lilac/lavender type colour used in a scheme with apple green to great effect.
