Don't know where to start

Need to tidy my dd1 & dd2s bedroom today. It is disgusting.

Too many cuddly toys, too many little toys (sylvanian etc) and too many clothes (need to sort out which still fit). Its a complete mess and muddle.
Dd1 will not throw anything out and is very much a hoarder.

Where do I start ?

Send the kids out, get rid of a load of stuff and just tell them you've tidied, they won't notice loads has gone

Wait until they are back at school, buy some large storage tubs, bag up some cuddly toys ( the not so good ones that they hopefully won't miss ), put all the small toys into storage tubs and keep a few nice cuddly toys to go on their bed or a shelve. My dd's rooms are messy too, I have tidied them and they have made a mess again due to being home all day, I'm waiting to get rid of a load of toys when they are at school in hope that they won't notice.

I've made a start but think I will wait till dd1 is at her hosp appt this aft, dh is taking her so I might be able to do some de cluttering when she's not here in the hope she doesn't notice.

So far I've only made the beds and taken out all the dirty cups plates and rubbish. It still looks a cluttered mess !
