Ordering blinds online, anyone done this?

I need a venetian blind & roller blind and am thinking it might be cheaper to order online. Can anyone recommend an online company please? Done a search but there are so many and would prefer to go on recommendation.

Yes - we used 24/7 blinds. They were very good. We ordered wooden horizontal slatted blinds. I can never remember the proper name Confused

Blinds2Go were good - very reasonable and good quality.

Yes twice. From Roman Blinds Direct and then web blinds. Both times very pleased.

So much more choice online than in the shops and you get the exact size.

It was either 24 7 or blinds direct which we used, very good and much cheaper than getting them done locally.

Can I ask how easy the Venetian blinds were to instal? Are there detailed instructions?

AnythingNotEverything · 28/12/2014 17:14

Apparently they are (lots have friends have done it), but we're really not good at that sort of thing so we paid our local blind shop to fit them. It was really cheap - still cheaper than buying from them directly.

Have used various companies but always send for samples as colours can look very different on a screen as I have learnt to my cost!

We used blindsonline.com for our window blinds. If you are installing the blinds yourself you'll appreciate their measuring and installing videos. The prices beat the local suppliers too.

We've used Keeleys Blinds on several occasions for blackout roller blinds and for venetian blinds. Happy with the products and will be using them again in the near future.

Yes, used Roman Blinds Direct - free samples (definitely needed!) and excellent choice, price and quality. Really good measuring guide too, I had a bay window and was terrified of getting it wrong. Paid someone recommended by the local blinds shop to fit them, still an absolute bargain.

Used Blinds2Go loads of times and always good. If you ever order roman blinds I'd recommend upgrading to a chain control, though. Tuiss is their sister site and worth a look, too. I've been able to mix and match across sites as their customer services are so helpful. They do made to measure so it ends up much simpler than cutting down off-the-shelf rollers.

I have used Tuiss too, several times. I think they are great. Have only ever bought venetian blinds from them as I make my own roman blinds.

I do remember having to use a bit of wood dye on the ends of the walnut blinds I bought - where they had been cut to size I suppose and the cut edges were lighter than the slats, but I could live with that because they were so reasonably priced.
