Magimix has just died. Have Kitchen Aid. What food processor shld I buy?

Had an ancient Magimix which has just given up the ghost. Have (also quite ancient) Kitchen Aid, but tend to only use it for baking. Not sure if it is possible to turn it into a proper food processor with special attachments, but suspect I need to replace the Magimix with something that is designed for that job specifically.

Any ideas for which one is best/best value for money?

TIA!

Buy another magimix. Kitchen aid/ Kenwood chef do different jobs to magimix. We went to look at new food processors and there are some bargains around for magimixes at the mo. Have had all new shiny one for Christmas, replacing worn out and crap Kenwood food processor. Am very thrilled with it!

I've had a Magimix 4200 for about 3 years. It's a great piece of kit but because I use my KA for most things I don't use any of the attachments on the processor. I mainly use it for pastry and breadcrumbs.
If I was buying again I wouldn't bother with the bells & whistles.

Thanks all. A MN angel has offered me a Magimix that she doesn't need. How about that? Hugely kind - and doubly glad the prevailing view seems to be stick with a Magimix (as tragically Vitamix/Thermomix probably beyond my budget).
