Urgent! Plastic on stove

I put a kids gloves there for thirty seconds not realising they had a plastic pattern on then and it melted on the stove. I must get it off before my husband sees.

And he will be home soon. He loves the stove, he will be furious.

Too late.

Will it scrape off when the stove is cold?

What kind of stove is it? I melted Tupperware tubs onto our stove and found that the scrapers that you use to get paint off windows were very effective at getting it off. Probably wouldn't work on all cookers though.
