What is the best, most hard wearing oil? Can you order samples?

Danish oil. Great stuff.

Agree with other poster that Osmo Top Oil is great. I order it online from a company called Vanilla wood floors.

I just use vegetable oil - lots and lots of it to start with and then about every 4-6 months I scrub it down and re-oil it.

I always swear by Osmo Top oil on these threads. The "Natural" colour looks slightly milky when it goes on but leaves the worktop looking the same colour as unoiled. "Clear" makes the worktop slightly darker. Both have a beautiful, hard wearing matt Sheen.
