The Worst Cake in the World

Hands up who wants to see DS's birthday cake?

I baked three cakes, put them on top of each other and tried to cover them with buttercream icing. And I burnt the cake

This year I was relegated to sandwiches!

If it makes you feel better I ended up with cake soup for DS2's birthday when I forgot to turn the oven on. Just the oven light.

Icing covers a multitude of sins.

Dds cake before icing here, well it has a bit of a crumb coating, the 'head' had broken coming out of pan so I crumbled it up and mixed with butter icing and formed a head shape...

It went from roadkill to pretty fucking awesome unicorn for her bday party on Saturday.
