Metal bed frame and the Mattress slides and I end up with a big gap at the head and the pillows slide down . I need a way to stop the mattress sliding about it so I can stop the gap spreading .

Is the frame from ikea?

Is the mattress staying in the frame, but slipping, or is the mattress ending up sticking over the end of the frame?

If the first, it sounds like your frame is bigger than the mattress, so I'd stuff something down between the mattress and the wall, so the mattress is always at the bottom of the frame, and the pillows won't fall down - or you could fill the gap between the frame and the bottom of the mattress - rolled up blanket or pillows spring to mind.

If its the second, you need a foot board, if one will attach to the frame.

No not from ikea . And it's staying within the frame .
