Sistema water bottles; mould in lid; can i take it apart?

I've only had them a couple of months, used for water, maybe once or twice for squash. Mould in twisty bit of cap; is it possible to take them apart to clean, or will i just need to buy new ones?

I took one apart but then it wouldn't go back together.
I had tried soaking it in Milton before that but it didn't shift the mould.
In the bin it went.
