Good Idea or Bad Idea.

I have some bits and pieces that need doing and I have a friend that desperately needs money, she loves cleaning and I have said I'll give her 15.00 to do the landing, bathroom, living room and kitchen. She does it in within an hour.

What do you think, good idea, or bad idea?

As a one off, fine. I would be a bit more wary of a regular thing unless you've tried it out a few times first.

Radley · 07/10/2006 09:51

She has done it before and is very very good and trustworthy, she is like a whirlwind when she gets going.

£15 for an hour seems expensive to me.

hatoff · 07/10/2006 11:00

seems expensive to me too.

lorina · 07/10/2006 11:20

I dont think thats expensive at all for what you are getting.

She is fab if she can do all that in less than an hour ,it would take me ages.
Also you trust her so that makes her worth the extra.

Wouldn't be surprised if you get a bit more added value for your £15, esp if you appear very busy when she finishes, she might just stick around longer...

BATtymumma · 07/10/2006 12:36

if your happy to pay the £15 and she is happy to do the work then fine.

but you would have to keep the business side seperate from your freinds ship...i mean don't introduce her to people as "my cleaner"

UlySCREAMS · 07/10/2006 12:51

Great if it makes you feel better. She couldn't keep up that pace all day so I think it's good value for money as at least she's doing what you ask and quickly. I have a friend who can clean this quickly too. Hasn't rubbed off on me yet

Radley · 07/10/2006 13:57

Well, she has finished and I do not know how she has done it, but she has done a fabulous job, the cleaning aspect of is kept between the two of is and i never mention it to anyone, even dh.

Glad you're pleased. It's lovely when the house is tidy. Doesn't happen round here much though
