Lakeland Bobble Buster - Does it Work ?

Anyone got one of these and could you recommend it ? - it is meant to take "piling " bobbling etc off knitwear.

Just buggered up a scarf somewhat but would like to rescue it if I can .

I haven't tried that exact one but we had a similar shaver things years ago and it was beyond pants.

These things, OTOH, are pretty effective, though they can pull at the fabric a bit:

Or you could even try a normal safety razor.

You could try a Velcro roller on it. Worked well for a wool/cashmere sweater I had

It does, but it takes ages to use. Annoyingly, the shaved off bits clump up behind the guard and it needs unclogging every few minutes

I use a razor very carefully and just shave down the item. Does a brilliant job but always do it carefully.

Thank you all. On a friend's recommendation have bought the John Lewis equivalent. Will report back when I've bought batteries and tried it.
