Butter stain in waterproof material

Evenin' all,

DD (11 months) dropped a bit of toast (butter side down, of course) on her new waterproof trousers. I've tried spray-on stain removers and also dish soap but the oily stain isn't budging. Any experience/advice would be much appreciated!

Kicking myself for giving her the toast! Grin

Talcum powder or bicarbonate of soda rubbed into the stain and left a while should soak it up.

Thanks - will try that!

Use Butter knife to gently scrape the greasy residue and use a paper towel to form an absorbent pad. Press this over and over again to the surface, soaking up any loose oil particles, until it comes clean. Then cover the stain with a talcum powder and sweep with stiff-bristled brush. Mix pure soap and water create a thick paste and pour this into the stained area, and brush it with an old toothbrush. You can also combine 1 tbsp. Liquid dishwashing detergent, 1 tbsp. Distilled white vinegar and 2 cups of warm water and apply to the remaining stains with a damp sponge.
