Razor blades

Does anyone use razors to clean glass shower doors? Does it work and which ones should I buy? I haven't found a cleaning product that really cleans as we have quite hard water and heard someone say they use razors?!

I can't comment on using razor blades, but what about a Stanley blade in a holder? They are sold for removing paint from glass, e.g. after painting window frames. My concern would be if there is any kind of coating or decoration on the glass, it may be affected by using a blade.
