DB has moved into a new council flat and the windows are really mucky. Basic white plastic frames with all grime and dirt and horribleness in corners and all around. DB asked me how to clean!!? What do you guys suggest?

DH always bleaches

My mum used to put bleach and water in a spray bottle and use that

Both seem to work ok, no discolouration

Hot soapy water with added bleach. Always works for me when the white plastic gets manky from the central heating and cooking.

Ammonia in hot water is really good at cutting through greasy muck on and around windows. Use an old toothbrush to get right into the corners of the frames. Don't stand over the bucket and breathe in the fumes!
