Once woodburner is lit, rest of heating goes off, other rooms are cold

Does anyone have any thoughts re. the above? We live in a bungalow and the woodburner is in the lounge, which is very warm once woodburner is going. The radiator temperature in this room is then reduced from 5 to 3 and the room stays very warm. But the rest of the rooms in the bungalow feel cold, the rads are not on when you go in the rooms. Even with the thermostat up to 20.5, they did not come on. The thermostats on all the other rads are on 5. Thanks.

Do you have a main thermostat in the lounge?

Our system has thermostatic valves on the radiators, plus a main thermostat which decideds whether the whole system is on or off. If that's in a room with separate heating, it'll turn the central heating off to the rest of the house...

You need to move the thermostat away from the room with the woodburner in it. Ideally the stat needs to be fairly central to the house and away from any heat sources.

We had this issue so bought a cordless thermostat which we leave upstairs if stove is lit.

Our thermostat is upstairs when the wood burner is on.

We like cooler bedrooms, so we leave the doors open so the warm air can circulate. It takes the chill off the bedrooms and saves running the central heating.

If your thermostat is near the woodburner, try putting it on the highest temperature
