Ok did a change of energy supplier, new supplier dealt with it all.

Checked bank statement and old supplier had taken normal direct debits on 1st oct and new supplier had taken new direct debit on same date.

We also got a summary of account froold supplier, stating initially we had overpaid for the year, by £400 for electricity and £110 for gas and were due that back. Then yesterday receive a letters rom then after calculations only dur £9 back for gas and £5 for electricity.

Phoned old supplier who confused me!

Anyone help, or my idea of where I can go for advice as I can't help but fe.el conned!

Are the meter readings correct on the final statement from the old supplier? And have they taken into account the payment on the first Oct?
Make sure you go into the bank (or do it on line if you can) and cancel the direct debit for the old supplier.

Yes check the readings. When I switched my old company, the wonderful npower, decided to just make up my final readings. Your new supplier can open a read dispute to sort it. and if it's with npower they can ignore it for months

sounds familiar only in my case it was Scottish Power who ignored the end of contract readings. Figure they all do.

keep nagging to get YOUR money back.
