Bread bins

Our bread keeps getting condensation in the packaging resulting in mouldy bread. No spare cupboard space so want to get a bread bin. Is there anything that makes one better than other as they vary greatly in price or is it just the look?

We have a metal one with a drop down front - good for catching crumbs and easy to clean. Ours is actually in a cupboard as we have limited counter top space. If it's on show choose something you like the look of and bear in mind it will probably need regular cleaning on the outside.

I just use the microwave. I don't use it much, and it keeps bread perfectly as it is all air tight. The only thing is you have to make sure the microwave is dry after you cook anything in it, before you put the bread back in. Other than that, it makes a perfect bread bin, and I'm short of space in the kitchen anyway so its ideal really.

We have a breadbin like fudge's, but I generally keep sliced loaves in the freezer unless I know we are going to be eating a whole loaf in a couple of days.

I had a bread bi once, it went mouldy and forever after that, bread went mouldy very quickly in it. Now I just use random saucepans and wash them between breads. If there's room I often stick bread in the fridge.

Bread bin, obviously, not a bread bi.

Lakeland bread bag - fantastic and keeps bread fresh for longer than anything else I have tried!
I used to have a bread bin but crumbs used to get caught in the corners….
