Food stains on coloured clothes

Hiya,

I dug up an old thread on this but detergents and things change all the time so I was wondering what stain remover sprays people use and find to be good?

I have changed my washing liquid to a Which best buy one but it hasn't made much difference so I don't know how to get the orange type food stains (spaghetti bolognese etc) out of clothes. My son came back from nursery with yellow curry stains all over his top and they just won't budge.

I've tried an Asda spray but it hasn't worked and also have tried some Oxyclean powder in the soap drawer.

In the old thread someone mentioned a lidl spray - has anyone tried that recently?

Thanks!

I've recently discovered vanish oxy action spray.
you put it on the stain before washing.
It got food stains and felt pen marks out of my dds clothes that other stain removers didn't touch.

rub washing up liquid and a little bit of water into the stain or use a laundry soap (rub the soap onto the stain)

Hanging your washing outdoors works - sunshine gets rid of most food stains. I never use stain remover, and regularly get spag Bol stains etc out this way

I was going to say sunshine too. I get rid of all those orange food stains by leaving clothes hanging in the sun for the day - a bit harder in this rainy weather though!

Thanks - I know sun does a great job on poo stains - does it still work on a sunny winters day?

I think I may try the Vanish spray - anyone used the Lidl one?

vanish do a soap for clothing - wet stain, rub soap onto it, give a scrub and then wash in the machine. Got irn bru out of my white t-shirt! Also worked on bolognese stains on dd's dress
