decluttering in bitesize chunks - help!

I'm desperate to declutter but never make enough headway with it. I habe a toddler so my only chance to do this stuff is when he naps but prioritising it is so hard and actually getting some actually done ie completed not just started (and mess created!) is my weakness. I feel I'd need a clear, uninterrupted week to do what I want and need to but that'll never happen. I also struggle with throwing out or giving to charity shops things I've hardly used or never worn. But for my sanity, I need to do this. Any helpful, encouraging tips please? Thanks!

Literally do a drawer at a time. I think it's easy to be overwhelmed by decluttering so you're much better off just working slowly through it. Anything worth selling list on ebay on a sunday night, it attracts the best price. Otherwise fill up single bags and take them to shop as and when.

Second the recommendation of the Kondo thread.

I'm doing it a bit at a time too - no DCs but work full time and lack motivation, but reading the threads (there are two because the first got filled up) is really inspiring and there's lots of hints and tips from the book, which is less than a fiver on kindle anyway.

If you have a car, can you batch things up in the boot to take to the charity shop/tip etc as and when?

Have a plan to get stuff out once its been earmarked as clutter. Like do a charity shop drop off or arrange a collection. If it doesn't leave the house all you have done is move it! I swear at one point the blokes at the tip thought I had a crush, as I was there 3 times a week. But get it out before it becomes daunting (esp as it hard to drop big items at the chazzer with a tot in tow!)
