Cleaning sick out of stuff?

DS has had his first sickness bug and we've washed bedding/clothing etc on a hot wash but what about our king size duvet, and the foam cot mattress? Is there a way to properly get it washed out of these? And the living room rug - I used a spray carpet cleaner and a lot of dettol on that, is that ok?

You may have to take the King size duvet somewhere to be cleaned. The cot mattress and carpet just do the best you can. Antibac spray, Dettol etc.. You have not cleaned sick up until you have cleaned it out of a large box of lego (not duplo) bricks.

At least lego is plastic. Bugger, we have no spare duvet so me and dh have a single each tonight.
