Ideas for Housewarming Hamper?

mummybear1985 · 16/10/2014 13:01

My brother (26) is moving into his first home (with girlfriend) in a couple of weeks and I would like to get them a gift.
I was thinking about putting together a small hamper of things that would be useful, but that they wouldn't necessarily buy themselves.
I was thinking maybe a mixture of foodie things and maybe some other bits and bobs that they can use around the home.
Does anyone have any ideas? (Total budget approx 20-30 as also putting some Next @ Home vouchers in) Grin

If they are going to do any sort of work on the place, do they have things like tools? I'm thinking metal tape measure, spirit level, stud/wire detector, flathead and crosshead screwdriver, that kind of thing.

Definitely tools - screwdrivers and tape measure.

A picture hanging kit maybe with wire, hooks, various fittings.

Light bulbs?

A few nice snack type foods

A bottle of wine

Wine
Candles
Oil Burner & Yankee tarts
Funky tea towels
Selection of brightly coloured dusters / microfibre cloths
Couple of cool mugs for first cuppa with some nice Finest Tea Bags / Herbal Teas / Coffee etc
Could try & match the colours of the above to keep a colour theme in the hamper ...
