Bleach hasn't worked.

Place marking as I have the same problem

Also can a layperson unscrew the glass door in order to clean it really well? Or should that be left to professionals?

the machine works really well it just looks a little drab.

Try Cif on a cloth. I don't actually know what you mean though - can you post a photo?

That's usually mould. Have you tried a washing machine cleaner, like this?

You need to do a service wash :). To stop it you need to do a service wash on a regular basis and keep the door open when it is not in use.

I would rather die than have mumsnet posters see the black nastiness on my grey rubber.

I will turn to Dr Beckmann.

Thank you

I used to have problems with mould on the door seal - sorted that with a change of detergent and changing the drain so the washer didn't flow out through the sink drain. I don't have the smelly washer or the mould but I still have the stain on the rubber. I did consider new door seals but that seemed a bit extreme.

Oh no I've never had that problem never I tell you. I'm just marking my place for a friend. My appliances are all gleaming Grin
