Scale? Not sure what this is.

descale your scale? i'm not a fish. do you mean kettle?

aDAdOnMumsnet · 29/09/2006 10:00

I only do it when it's too late. Wrecked a few nice coffee machines by not doing it.

CheesyFeet · 29/09/2006 10:00

I find descaling my scale a somewhat pointless exercise

I descale my kettle & iron about 3 or 4 times a year though

NomDePlume · 29/09/2006 10:01

I don't descale my kettle, we don;t get much of a build up.

The best thing for limescale in a kettle is white vinegar. Pour in enough to cover the element and boil. All the limescale will come off and you'll be left with a shiny kettle. Make sure you rinse the kettle well afterwards though !

Limelight on the taps & showerscreen
Oust in the kettle
