It was fine yesterday!
Apologies for exclamation marks but I'm panicking here.

!!!! Grin

It's in-built and there is no way I can play around with screwdriver like I was advised after googling the problem.

The door seems to be in its place. I've tried 'lifting' it and then closing but the latch just isn't holding.

Sometimes the door on ours won't close, if the upper tray, which holds cups etc., has slightly come off its rollers (which it frequently does).

If the latch has a sort of hook in the door, which clicks round a bar in the cabinet, the hook might have snapped to the closed position. Sometime car boot lids are like that. Try to pull the hook out. You may have to operate the latch handle at the same time.

So am I to twiddle with the bit in the door?

Is it definitely the door that's at fault? I.e. it doesn't feel like there's something preventing the door closing properly, which is what happens with mine.

I promise I checked for any blockage!

It happened once before and then it suddenly started working ok.

From your picture, the hook looks to be in the cabinet, not the door.

HolyQuadrityDrinkFeckArseGirls · 07/10/2014 23:07

Yes, Piglet. I thought the picture would do a better job at explaining than me.

Bump.

Argh, the landlords exchanged the fridge and the washing machine in the last few weeks, sigh. They won't say anything, just send someone but I'm afraid of the rebt increase hen the cintract runs out.
Is there any chance I can fix it myself?
