Hi all please can someone advise me on the best luxury duvet and pillows to buy as I'm fed up of my nylon thinning ones, can't have feathers though :-(

www.kingofcotton.co.uk and www.soakandsleep.com (formerly duvet and pillow warehouse) are both excellent suppliers of high quality duvets (and linens). The latter currently has a 20% off offer.

Thank you but what sort of duvet do I go for?

Since you can't have feather, and are loooking for luxury, KoC do silk duvets, and S&S do both silk and wool. Have a look at those; I can't personally comment on either as my duvet is down. :)

www.soakandsleep.com/pure-wool-duvet.html is probably what I'd go for, were I seeking a new duvet. Wool has the advantage because it's sustainable, and can be washed, whereas there are obvious animal welfare issues with silk.

www.soakandsleep.com/luxury-100-pure-wool.html?nosto=nosto-page-product3 And there are matching pillows.

I'd go for Mulberry silk duvet. I have a down duvet so can't justify swapping for a new one just yet.

If money were no object, these would be my choice of sheet, though I have to settle for some 400tc from Dunelm.

I have a wool duvet from Devon Duvets, I've been very happy with it. Also considered the silk duvets from Gingerlilly but decided against it in the end as it was more expensive.

I have a wool duvet from Baavet. We absolutely love it!

Oh thanks for the link to Devon Duvets...I was taken with their folding pillow as DS is a very slobbery sleeper and his pillows quickly get manky. I then had the brain wave to use his old cotbed wool duvet to wrap around a firm pillow. He will love it as his current pillow is still drying and due to Reflux he need something firm and upright and is moaning where his pillow is. It shgould be easier to wash as well
