'grrrrrrrrr' men!!! i swear they too have their time of the month!!! -
ashley was already to leave for work, went into the kitchen and stepped over the rubbish bag (i've got it out of the bin earlier to go outside); grabbed the dinner i've prepared for him earlier and packed; stepped over the bag again and was about to leave - ehm, hello!! he passes the bin within 2 steps but no, i had to 'remind' him and he got mad at me 'it seems like it's only him who does the rubbish' - yeah right!! all the other 100 times he's not home. so i followed to put the recycling out (which he never does without prompting either) - and just tried to say 'you seriously don't have to do much at home so if you see to the rubbish once a week that's not too much to ask ...' - well, he just waved his hand and sped off babbling like 'i am not having this conversation...' - ehm?!?!?!?!?!?

Hi, I gave up and went shopping Spent money we don't have.
My day has continued to go downhill for no good reason. I ffel like I'm making a big effort, and the place is still a tip. Not helped by cooking tea that no one ate.
I'm going to have an early night and hope I'm feeling a bit more positive tomorrow.
I really should be making cakes for the coffee morning tomorrow, but am going to have to buy one there instead, unless I'm inspired before school tomorrow before school.

mummyhill · 28/09/2006 21:28

SusiS - I have one like that too I am sure it is something to do with genetics there must be a male gene that means that they can ignore rubbish, washing up, toys on the floor before bed if wife is working till stupid o'clock, screaming baby etc etc etc

SusiS · 28/09/2006 21:35

'sigh' guess that's just something we'll have to live with - no chance to 'educate' them, is there?!?!?

in general he is really good, especially with the kids; and he spends alot of time with them

but still: just because he has a 'proper' job doesn't mean he can just do whatever he wants to once he's home?! - and i tidy up after him and do basically everything in the house!
he has his good moments though and does things umprompted () - but that last for about 2 days and the novelty is gone and he needs lots of appraisal for doing it too

hmmm, i never get anything

SusiS · 28/09/2006 21:36

enough now

kitchen is clean, dw is finished but will unload tomorrow, last patch of washing is dry and folded and i'll be going to bed in a minute with a book (all the big bed to myself; dp works nights )

singersgirl · 28/09/2006 22:32

Sorry, I've not done any Flying today, though have done 2 loads of washing, 15 minutes on company accounts and the sink is clear, packed lunches made etc. A friend who lives about 45 minutes away asked me to lunch unexpectedly, and that sort of messed up my plans.

I think I will just have to miss out on the living room this time round and pick up as and when. Also I don't have a feather duster so can't do any of the high dusting tasks. Must buy one.

Am busy tomorrow with PTA meeting (first one....), lunch with friend over from abroad and smear!!! Wot fun.

singersgirl · 28/09/2006 22:32

Not all together of course!

Skribble · 28/09/2006 23:26

I must be leading in the flying stakes today. The living room is looking fairly respectable, I went through more old school work (still some more to do), cleared the floor etc. Stairs are piled up with all the stuff to go upstairs, I will do that as I go up and down later.

Have a nice tomato tart recipe to try for lunch tomorrow with MIL (new idea- actually use all the recipes I stick in my book from magazines), I got two mini rose plants reduced at the supermarket to 75p which look nice , no doilies though , but did get a small pannetone to have with cuppa.

Skribble · 28/09/2006 23:40

You know I was just thinking...

It must be great to be a kid, you get all your meals made for you, your clothes washed, nice cosy home to come home to and you don't have to worry about buying presents or orgainising any one else.

Then I looked at my DH and thought....
Yes isn't it nice!!!
