Does linen shrink in the tumble dryer?

I've just realised I haven't got any clothes to wear tomorrow (it's a long story) If I wash a linen dress (a loose shirt dress style) would it shrink in the dryer on a gentle tumble? Google is not helping me here as it says not to wash it - which I always do - but to dry clean...

I don't think linen shrinks, but once dry it's amazingly difficult to iron the creases out, so do iron while still damp.
By the way, I've just cleaned an enbroidered bag with a label saying "Do not dry clean or machine wash or hand wash"....Of course, I gave it a gentle hand wash in warm water, and have been patting it into shape while damp, and plan a light ironing tomorrow, or maybe just an anti-wrinkle spray as it's not bad at all.
I'd wash the dress. Carefully.
