Does anyone have this, or any experience of it in the past? I have a canteen of the stuff which was left to me and imagine its a pig to clean so I'm thinking of getting rid - do you think anyone would buy it (for a very reasonable price!) or would you just Freecycle it? I suppose it is beautiful, very plain and classy looking, but not sure I'd ever be bothered to use/clean it - have had it five years and haven't done either yet!

My parents have a set, used on christmas and birthdays only (as it is a complete pain to keep tarnish free) - think washing up the first course and then DRYING the first course set of cutlery before you can move onto the main course, because if you don't the food on the metal tarnishes within minutes....

Having said all that- it is simply beautiful to use, and for occasional special days, looks stunning when the table is laid properly

Save it, learn how to buff and dry it quickly, and use it with pleasure Smile

Tia4 I think it looks lovely tarnished! Someone I know has some, never uses it for the same reason, but I like that sort of look on the metal.

I'd probably buy it from you! (If I could afford it, and if you were anywhere near me geographically.)

I'm in the North East of England - depends where you are pleaseaffixstamps! I don't think I could be bothered to clean it but thanks everyone - am decluttering (as are many of you) and it doesn't bring me joy!!!

Well I've unearthed the box this morning - yes it is beautiful and yes it IS going! I can see it would look amazing for special occasions but I have silver cutlery which I do love and is easy-ish to clean so decision made! Anyone who can collect is welcome to it ?
