Steam mops- yay or nay?

Any good for tiled floors and if so which brand do you like?

I have a tiled floor and it's not smooth tiles- but kind of grainy texture which is a bugger for cleaning as the dirty water tends to lurk on the tiny holes.

Would a steam cleaner lift the muck out more easily?

They do work well. I have one of the Karcher ones that were given out as a MN product test, last year.

I have ceramic tiles like that, too (wonderfully non-slip, for all their tendency to grot) and recently attacked all the little stains with a magic eraser. They look a lot better for it.

Love mine. And yes, it would definitely help with the grainy tiles.

Mine is Karcher but I've heard good things about Morphy Richards too. TBH I think it's one of these products where people are happy with any brand.
