How often to change the beds?

I saw a news article recently that said that about a quarter of people "admit" to changing the beds monthly. I do that and I didn't realise it wasn't nearly enough!

How often are we supposed to wash the pillow cases, sheets, duvet cover etc? The article implied weekly was about right. But in my case that would be around 3 more loads of washing every weekend.

That can't be right, can it?

I was just thinking the other day how minging/slattern I am about this!

I base this on that I change the bed fortnightly but it should be more often if I could muster the energy as I change my clothes daily if I get hot/sweat etc - I no doubt get hot in bed but I don't apply the same rule!

Hoovering the mattress...I tried putting the iroomba on it - it got stuck so it didn't get done, lazy arse I am!

Our bed - once every couple of weeks

Ds cot sheets changed once or twice a week

Bath towels - once a week

Dog bedding once or twice a week, depending if she's got on her bed after a walk in the rain (then it's washed the morning after!)
