IKEA bed frame sizes

hope this is right section, closest match I think.

need a new king-sized bed frame and mattress. I know IKEA are 'european size'. Found a good 'British' king size mattress. If I have it right, the IKEA frame will be the same width (200cm) but 10 cm longer (160 cm as opposed to 160cm for the mattress)

will this 5cm top and bottom be a mistake/annoying? IKEA frames cheaper but not worth it if it is wrong!

time to upgrade to a grown-up mattress with pocket springs and maybe a thin layer of memory foam - will see if IKEA do that,and if not, will go for a standard size frame.

I have an ikea frame and a UK mattress in my spare room. Soooo annoying!

Ikea now do standard British sizes :-)

We had to buy a new mattress as I'd thought it was going to be okay. Expensive mistake.

Ikea now do british sizes... At least they do a proper single now. We bought one for DS it's perfect.

Want to say ikea does UK sizes for a lot of their beds too. Not all of them though. Want a flaxa for DD but they only come in European sizes. But all the malm are available in UK sizes for example.
