Balck Biro Ink vs White Shirt

Dh had a leaky pen in suit pocket which has bled onto front of white shirt. Napisan not shifting it, any ideas please ?

You can get a special stain devil for this. Have you tried any solvents? Nail varnish remover, surgical spirit? White spirit? Turps? I'd avoid meths as the purple might stain.

tried turps, vanish as well now to no avail. Will look out for stain devil but not hopeful.

soak in milk?

hairspray is supposed to work too

biro ink dissolves in alcohol (e.g. gin, meths, surgical spirit) but on a white shirt you will never get it all out.

The jacket ought to go to the dry cleaners with a note saying it is biro ink, or it may soak through to the outer fabric, or bleed onto future shirts. It stays sticky for a long time.

I've always used hairspray for biro, it works pretty well on sofas, walls etc, might work on fabric too?

will give hairspray a go , how long do I leave it before washing ? dh says jacket fine

Better but still very noticeable. Suit is washable but won't risk it in case the original leak spreads so dry cleaners it is.
