Cleaning a stainless steel top

We've just got a new stainless steel topped island...struggling to keep it smear free.

Any tips/product suggestions appreciated.

Method stainless steel cleaner + a microfibre cloth works for us.

I use the Lakeland stainless steel spray, no smears and polishes up a treat.

Very hot wet cloth then buff it with a dry tea towel straight away . A small amount of baby oil put on then buffed off works well too, spent hours doing this working in a kitchen in my youth
