I have a quite elderly lavvy seat which is painted molded wood. It is a bemiss and needs replaced mainly due to the nasty pee stains caused by weeing boys. Sadly I cant afford buy a new one the same and did buy a cheaper plastic version but it is rubbish and I want to use the old one again but need to know how to get the stains off. I have tried various bathroom cleaners to no avail. Bleach removes the paint and damages the surface.
An ideas?
Please.

Yellow stains are usually bleach not wee.

Wilkinsons have some terrific bargains in moulded wood (=painted MDF) seats but the paint wears off the sharp edges.

Be sure to get one with stainless steel hinges and screws.

The very best ones seem to be in solid plastic which is very thick, hard and heavy, usually sold by the WC makers and expensive if bought as a spare.
