Oil marks on the beige carpet

Angry

How best to get them off?

Several of them. Bike oil. Each about twice the size of a 10p.

I'm worried that whatever we use, we'll just make the patch bigger.

Washing up liquid. Dh traipsed bike oil through our house on his shoes, not so bad downstairs as there are no carpets, but up the stairs, across the landing and into our bedroom.
I posted the same question on here and that was the advice - and it worked!

Sorry, meant to respond about this sooner Grin

No joy with the washing up liquid.

However, we put baking powder on the marks, rubbed it in, hoovered it up and it disappeared like magic!
