Nicest looking bed frame of these? Need to make an urgent decision as we're bedless!

We were woken up in the middle of the night when we were thrown on the floor as our very old bedframe snapped!! Dh has put on a bit of weight, but not that much! We are now bedless and sleeping on the mattress on the floor.

Does anyone have any reasons why I should choose / avoid a pine or solid wood versus a metal frame bed in the £80-150 bracket?

The problem is I wasn't fond of the old bed and want something pretty this time, but on a very small budget (maximum of £150).

I really can't decide what I like best. We have mahogany everything else in the bedroom but can't find anything in our price range to match that. I'm thinking I could always paint the bedframe, or maybe the contrast in wood colours could be interesting?

Dh is useless with design questions. Aesthetically, which of these beds do you prefer the look of?
I've come up with these:
www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/2492843.htm
www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6942636.htm
or the same one in pine: www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6631765.htm
www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6970550.htm (or a similar metal frame bed from elsewhere.)

I'm open to suggestions if you know of nicer beds elsewhere!

Thanks!

I like the metal one. I sleep quote far down a bed and hate beds with ends on them as I end up kicking them and it disturbs my sleep.

Out of those ones, the Josephine will probably be the sturdiest.

I have just had a look on Dreams, they have a sale on, I would choose one of their cheap beds over one from Argos.

If the rest of your wooden furniture is mahogany colour, I definitely wouldn't go for a different wood. The white-painted might be okay but I'd go for the black metal - I think that could look quite stylish with dark wood. You could paint one of the pine ones but would you and really isn't life too short?! (Unless you particularly like painting furniture)

I like the first one

I've never had a metal bed frame that didn't creak at the slightest turn in the night so that might be a consideration. I may have just had crap metal frames though.

Think I prefer the 3rd one
