Help me sort out a water stain on my coffee table

Please! Someone has left a drippy glass on my coffee table, leaving a nasty mark. I think the surface is oiled. Does anyone have a top tip to sort it out?

I tried toothpaste on another table, but it wasn't great. This mark has dark areas where the water has seeped in.
