My house is a tip! And grimey in places!

Anyone fancy a cleaning/tidying thread to motivate each other?

Welcome!

I have until after lunch to get some stuff done. I need to:

Sew some more name labels on uniform
Put tesco order away when it arrives
Do a towel wash
Air laundry
Throw some stuff away (will aim for a bin bag full)

My dad is hopefully taking a carful of stuff to the tip for me on Sunday so I really want to make the most of the opportunity!

jimblejambles · 08/09/2014 09:59

Have taken the boys to school, put al load in the washing machine and done the washing up.
Dd has emptied a box of tissues and a packet of wipes so I guess the living room floor is next

KillashandraRee · 08/09/2014 14:13

I'm failing today. DS2 doesn't want to be put down.

I have managed the following:
Empty and reload dishwasher
Make flapjack wasn't on list
Make bread wasn't on list
Two loads of washing washed
Haircut for DS1

3pigsinblanketsandasausagerole · 08/09/2014 19:32

Shattered now and don't think I can face it

3pigsinblanketsandasausagerole · 10/09/2014 07:19

KillashandraRee · 10/09/2014 07:22

Oh 3pigs WineThanks so sorry Sad

Sounds like you're in control though which is a good thing.

3pigsinblanketsandasausagerole · 10/09/2014 07:28

I feel in control and I am lucky I have three fantastic dc to keep me smiling

OP posts:
KillashandraRee · 10/09/2014 15:25

3 DC's is definitely a reason to smile Grin

I'm struggling this week to achieve anything. I'm knackered from too many four am starts to the day thanks to my two.

I have today -

Walked dog/ children
Eaten cake
Emptied dishwasher
Eaten flapjack
BF DS2 for what seems like hours!

Need to crack on with some washing/ cleaning or I'll feel like crying when I look around the house later. Confused

3pigsinblanketsandasausagerole · 10/09/2014 15:56

I had a good go at kitchen earlier
Threw some stuff out
Threw some stuff in the shed
Cleared out a cupboard of junk

Just needs tiles and cupboards wiping and a mop

OP posts:
3pigsinblanketsandasausagerole · 10/09/2014 15:57

Oh and done 3 lots of washing and drying and all my pots

OP posts:
MokunMokun · 10/09/2014 22:34

I've been rubbish this week too Sad. The baby has been ill and not sleeping well so I'm been exhausted all week. I did get the washing up done last night and I've been tackling the boxes of winter clothes from storage.

It's pretty messy though but will see how much I can get done today.

Would like to:

Clear the hall of junk
Clean the toilet
Clean out the fish
Do a bit more in the kitchen
Tackle the ever growing laundry mountain

KillashandraRee · 11/09/2014 10:09

Mokun hope your baby is feeling better soon. How old is he/she?

Today DS1 is at preschool so I only have the baby to deal with (only!)

I'm feeling pretty rubbish so going to try and achieve little things and not expect too much.

I'd like to
Sort paperwork
Make bread
Tidy DS1 room and clean
Finish washing and ironing

And now I have to bath and change as DS2 has just been sick on me Confused

shitatusernames · 11/09/2014 10:33

Hi can I join? I need a thread that will carry on day to day, today I've

1 load of washing on the line
Sorted clean washing into piles to put away
fed dd2
Polished
Monday I finally sorted under the stairs and got rid of the ottoman and gave it to my mum, so now the pram goes under there out of the way and not by the stairs, took me a couple of hours to do thanks to dd2 not letting me put her down lol.

To do
Go Asda, I need a birthday card for ds1's girlfriend, 3-6 month vests for dd2, something for dinner tonight.

Hoover downstairs
Put clean washing away.

3pigsinblanketsandasausagerole · 11/09/2014 15:50

The more the merrier!

I managed to leave the house relatively tidy before going to work today

I am loving the kids having school dinners tbh as it's knocked two jobs off my list (making lunches and scraping yogurt out of lunch bags) so it's making my life easier. They are enjoying it too although it may just be novelty. Had expected them to want to switch back by now tbh!

Hi, my daughter is 8 months old. I think she is also having the 8 month sleep regression so waking up a lot at night. She seems happy enough but filling a lot of nappies and has bad bum rash despite getting cream from the doctor. I also have a toddler at home with me who is 3 and a son who is 6. I have great ambitions but never get as much done as I'd like especially as my husband works away so it is just me and the kids most of the time.

Today, I did get the laundry mountain done and I got a lot of the winter clothes sorted out and summer clothes washed and put away. I'm still slogging away with the cleaning, it is getting better but still not there yet.

We are going away this weekend so the mess will have to wait. My parents have decided to come and visit us in the New Year so I need to sort out the spare room by then. That will be a big job!

MokunMokun · 11/09/2014 16:04

Ps. I hope your DS2 is ok shitatusernames

shitatusernames · 11/09/2014 17:04

DD2 is 10 weeks old, and awake alot during the day lol, she's been much better today and slept a little more, sounds like teething Mokun must be horrible for them.

I got to asda, have hoovered, fed ds2 and dd1, just waiting dh to come home so I can get the washing in, do our dinner and for me to have a bath, oh and bathed ds2 and dd2. Sounds like alot when you write it down.

KillashandraRee · 12/09/2014 08:40

Usernames (I can't call you shitat!) my DS is awake most of the day too, I thought babies were supposed to sleep!

We have people round for dinner tonight so no excuses this house must be ready!

I have to:
Clean bathroom
Clean kitchen
Tidy DS bedroom, snug, my bedroom.
Vacuum and dust.
Make pizza dough
Make pizza sauce
Walk dog
Put away washing
Do two loads washing

And have to look after both children... Best get started! Confused

3pigsinblanketsandasausagerole · 12/09/2014 09:40

At home with youngest two dc today both looking under the weather and I don't feel fantastic myself but I will try and do some stuff I promise

KillashandraRee · 12/09/2014 10:21

shitatusernames · 12/09/2014 10:51

Ha ha, you can call me what you want Grin
