My washing machine won't empty , it's not blocked .

it will do a wash & then when I open the door the water hasnt emptied so it goes everywhere , once the water has emptied it will spin so the washing isn't sopping wet .

Anyone have a clue what it could be?

it's this make/model -

the pump? Have you cleaned the filter out?

Clean filter?

frignorant · 07/09/2014 21:33

My machine was like this a couple of months ago. It appeared to be the pump. Dh was going to order a new one off ebay and do it himself but the machine was old so instead of throwing money at it, we decided to buy a new one.

If you have cleaned the pump and its still not doing it, maybe the drain pipe is kinked?

gamerchick · 07/09/2014 21:37

Or unhook it from underneath the sink take off the part that connects it all under the sink and clean it out. I had straws and allsorts stuck in mine with the gunk.

It sounds like the pump but I would check the filter first. If you tip it up you might find that there's something that is blocked in the pipe that connects to the filter (as I learnt to the cost of a call out charge for a sock that was blocking it...) If the filter and that pipe is clear then I would say look at the pump.

Dp unhooked it all and gave it a good clean out and it seems to have done the job

Dp has never managed to fix anything before Shock Grin
