I have also draped mine over the playhouse roof and given it a thorough hosing. However I live in a hot country so I can rely on the sun to dry it.

You couldn't get it out of the bath once it's wet.

DON'T wash them.

Beat them when hung over a line (or give them a very very thorough hoovering) and then use a Vax type carpet cleaner on them.
