damp smell in cardigan

firstly please don't judge

I was on holiday and bought a woolly cardy from a car boot sale as I was really cold

didn't really notice at the time but it smells musty

I've tried washing it and drying on the line but I can still smell it - any ideas?

Pop it in the wash again with 2 capfuls of zoflora in tbe fabric conditioner section along with usual fc, this should do the trick.

What's to judge?

After its next wash can you leave it in an airing cupboard for a while?

thank you all for the ideas - we have left it hanging up but will definetly try something in the next wash.

soak it in some white vinegar and water.
