Is the paint dry? I just use baby wipes for paintwork.

If its emulsion I'd start with warm water and with a clean white cloth lightly hand dab it off, I would think a wet wipe with oil in it would make it patchy.

I'd try washing up liquid and water on a white cloth. If if doesn't come off, you could just touch up with the paint. It'll still be a perfect match.

Wet wipes work well here on paintwork, and don't seem to be oily.

I'm thinking if its really fresh paint I.e. a few weeks old - the surface is quite porous and doesn't seem to have that veneer of "stuff", older paint work wet wipes are amazing.

Baby wipes. We've had house painted several times this year & baby wipes are handy for grubby handprints from ds.
