jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 21/09/2006 09:49

but what will you do for the rest of the day?!

JollyRogerMamaG · 21/09/2006 09:50

ha ha leander, I got up at 7.15.

I must admit, this is VERY unusual for me but I'm expecting somebody at 10am - I'm one of those people who is horrified if someone drops in, as the house will usually be a tip!

right you've shamed me into it I'm off to tidy my hovel.

KBear · 21/09/2006 09:58

Look, it's all very well but you're setting standards that are hard to maintain on a daily basis and once the standards slip you will feel like a failure and your DH will think you are letting things go.

I have been agonising and ranting all morning and that is exhausting in itself.

And no, I'm not at work, my mum and dadd have gone away (bloody cheek) and left me without childcare so I'm off work.

I will getting the sewing machine out in a minute and whizzing up a new pink fluffy cover for DD's car seat though so I win. NER

KBear · 21/09/2006 10:45

We're talking to ourselves, she's gone to clean something else.

JollyRogerMamaG · 21/09/2006 13:16

PMSL KBear, you always make me rofl. I wasn't cleaning actually, I was talking to two policemen for 2 hours (ooer!)

JollyRogerMamaG · 21/09/2006 13:17

How rude of your parents

OP posts:
KBear · 21/09/2006 14:19

I know - we are going to have to go back over the Grandparent Strategy which we put in place when DD was born, ie you nagged for grandkids, I duly provided them, therefore you should forego any events, holidays, trips that don't include them.

Intrigued about the policemen... do tell...
